The Shenendehowa girls team is finding its stride after an early season loss to Saratoga and sit atop the Girls Class AA computer rankings through 12\/23\/17 games. Here’s the link to the\u00a0current\u00a0section2basketball.com computer rankings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Below are the links to the Boys rankings, Girls rankings and game projection link. The game projection link allows you to pick 1 team (boys or girls) and gives you a projected outcome of a game, with final score, versus every other team in the section based on the current information.<\/p>\n

The rankings take each game result into account and they factor recent results a bit higher. However, they are very volatile at this point based on only a few early season results. They are also meant to project an outcome of a game if 2 teams played today. The rankings are only as good as the information I have in the database. If I don’t have all of a team’s scores the ranking may be slightly skewed for that team. Class AA Boys<\/strong><\/p>\n

Still no real separation from the top teams. Shenendehowa, Saratoga and La Salle are currently the top 3 but 8 teams are within 6 points of each other.<\/p>\n

Class AA Girls<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shenendehowa has looked like the defending Class AA champ, since its loss to Saratoga, and has a solid hold on the top girls team in Class AA. Shaker, Colonie and Saratoga are right behind them and continue to play great basketball.<\/p>\n

Class A Boys<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mohonasen,\u00a0Amsterdam\u00a0and\u00a0Lansingburgh are currently the top 3 teams.\u00a0Teams like Queesnbury, Averill Park, Gloversville and Scotia look like contenders as well.<\/p>\n

Class A Girls<\/strong><\/p>\n

Averill Park\u00a0continues to play\u00a0outstanding team basketball and are the prohibitive favorite to repeat in Class A.\u00a0Holy Names, Amsterdam, Scotia, Gloversville, and Queesnbury are battling to figure out who is the 2nd best team in Class A.<\/p>\n

Class B Boys<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mekeel Christian, Glens Falls,\u00a0and Watervliet are currently the top 3. Hudson, Catskill and Schalmont are right below them. Schuylerville, Cobleskill and\u00a0Bishop Gibbons are dark horses in this classification.<\/p>\n

Class B Girls<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tamarac\u00a0continues to be the top team with Glens Falls right behind them. Watervliet is playing great as well after starting the season slowly.<\/p>\n

Class C Boys<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lake George is the team to beat right now. Following them are strong teams like Middleburgh, Granville, Hoosick Falls, Duanesburg, and\u00a0Saratoga Catholic. Berne Knox, Stillwater, Maple Hill, Schoharie, and Mechanicville are bunched right below the top teams.<\/p>\n

Class C Girls<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cambridge,\u00a0Mechanicville,and Mekeel Christian are the top 3 right now. Greenville\u00a0and Lake George are teams that the top teams don’t want to see in their bracket in February.<\/p>\n

Class D Boys<\/strong><\/p>\n

Argyle. Oppenheim-Ephratah\/St Johnsville, and Whitehall are the current favorites. Fort Ann, Germantown, North Warren and Northville are in the next tier below the top 3.<\/p>\n

Class D Girls<\/strong><\/p>\n

The top 5 teams right now are Argyle, Fort Edward, Fort Ann, Hartford and Heatly. North Warren and Salem are right behind the top teams.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
